The present work attempts an analytical overview of the environment as well as the substance of the field of comparative public Administration. The major purpose of the book is to elaborate the essential elements of the “ecological” approach to public Administration, but while analysing the “idea of ecology”, “the ecology of ideas”, I.E. The environmental conditions that stimulated and sustained the development of major conceptual constructs in the field of comparative public Administration, has also been subjected to an in-depth analysis.
