About the Author

Dr S Aruna, MS (Anatomy), is the Professor and Head, Department of Anatomy, at Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute (IGMC & RI), Puducherry. She graduated from Madurai Medical College and did her MS (Anatomy) at the prestigious Madras Medical College. She has 23 years of teaching experience for medical and allied health UG and PG students. Dissection has always been her passion. Her favorite topics are Gross Anatomy, Embryology, and Neuroanatomy. She has received Dr Martin Cooper best scientific paper presentation award twice. She has more than 20 publications in various National and International journals to her credit. She is one of the reviewers of Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research (JCDR) for Anatomy-related publications. She is also the member and coordinator of Anatomy for UG and PG Board of Studies of Pondicherry University, and the Member-Secretary of Curriculum committee of IGMC & RI. More than 40 students guided by her in scientific paper presentation and publications have got best scientific paper presentation awards in various Tamil Nadu Anatomists Association Conferences. N Isai Vani, MS, DNB (Anatomy), is currently the Associate Professor of Anatomy, at Indira Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute (IGMC & RI), Puducherry. She is an alumnus of Tirunelveli and Thanjavur Medical College. Her teaching experience spans more than 15 years, and her areas of interest include anatomical basis of clinical medicine and newer assessment methods in medical education. She has published in National and International journals. She has been a resource person and delivered guest lectures in various workshops and continuing medical education programs
